Congratulations to James C. Tsai, M.D.! Effective October 1st, 2006, Dr Tsai will assume the position of Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven CT.

CAOS (Chinese American Ophthalmological Society) is organized exclusively for charitable, education and scientific purposes, specifically to advance medical knowledge and scientific research in ophthalmology and to assist in the educational and training of ophthalmologists of Chinese descent.


Membership is open to all involved in vision care and research. It includes not only physicians of Chinese ancestry, but also physicians of all nationalities. Nonphysician members include vision scientists, engineers with postgraduate degrees and others who are involved in vision-related fields.
